The tenth edition of the Sindhupalchok International Trail Race 2026 has concluded

Magh 10, Chautara. The tenth edition of the Sindhupalchok International Trail Race Competition 2026 has concluded.

Men and women participated in the running competition organized by the Sindhupalchok International Trail Race Organization. Foreigners also participated. Separate competitions of 60 kilometers and 28 kilometers were held for that.
The 60-kilometer race started from Thulosiruwari in Sindhupalchok and the 28-kilometer race started from Jalbire.

The competition was held in two categories, 60 kilometers and 28 kilometers. The 60 kilometer race started from Thulosiruwari under the chief guestship of Ward Chairman Ram Prasad Gautam of Ward No. 13 of Chautara Sangachok Gadhi Municipality. Similarly, a 28-kilometer race was started from Jalbire.
Dawa Tamang came first in the men’s category, completing the 60 km race in 6 hours 52 minutes 22 seconds. Vijay Rana Magar came second in 7 hours 4 minutes 4 seconds, while Sandeep Tamang came third in 7 hours 25 minutes 35 seconds.

In the women’s 60 km race, Dilkala Kulung finished first in 9 hours, 2 minutes, 43 seconds, while Denmark’s Stine Heiselberg came in second, while Dutch citizen Anne Mai Baan came in third, finishing the race in 10 hours, 10 minutes, 03 seconds.
Similarly, in the 28 km women’s race, USA’s SonYa Martin finished first, finishing in 3 hours, 50 minutes, 34 seconds, followed by Sweden’s Klara Berggren She finished second in 5 hours, 7 minutes, 45 seconds, and Anna Griffin of the UK finished third in 6 hours, 27 minutes, 36 seconds.
In the men’s 28 km race, Arjun Raj Kulung finished first in 2 hours 40 minutes 11 seconds, while Diwakar Budhamagar finished second in 2 hours 44 minutes 54 seconds.
The program concluded with the New Bridge Bungee Jump. This community-based, non-profit race has introduced Sindhupalchok to the international stage Ram Puri, president of Sindhupalchok Trail Race, said that the winners of the race have also won international running competitions.
Puri said that the trail race competition was organized in Sindhupalchowk with the aim of promoting his village.
This competition, which started after the 2072 BS earthquake, aims to instill hope in the people of Sindhupalchok, saying that Sindhupalchok is beautiful.
The organizers say they have started to promote the world that it is worth visiting here. They have stated that 10 races have been completed from Sindhupalchok so far.
The organization said it has also helped build schools, distribute pens and pencils to students, and provide assistance to health posts.
